An accident in the mining industry is going to spark calls for even greater regulations. At present the high price that gold fetches and the corruption of certain mining inspectors would cause some of them to turn a blind eye to blatant irregularities.
This accident will come in the form of a pit cave-in because the operators would be so preoccupied with chasing after the gold that they will not take the basic precautions.
The cave-in will claim multiple lives.

Impatience will cause the next road accident. A speeding driver would disregard traffic ahead of him. There will be serious injuries. The vehicles will be wrecked but that will be nothing when compared to the destruction of property.
**
Protests are never too far off and those involved would ignore basic reasoning. A leading figure in the Guyana Police Force would be the centre of attraction because of a recent episode.
What would be really offending is the fact that serving members of the force are going to support the protest.
In the end the government would intervene to end a sordid chapter in the history of the Guyana Police Force.

With schools no longer in session there are going to be two reports of drowning. One of these would occur during an outing.
