The 2011 New Building Society Second Division 40 over cricket competition resumed recently after a long delay due to bad weather with Bush Lot Challengers becoming the latest team to reach the last 16 playoffs after defeating Rainbow Generation in their final Zone A preliminary match which also saw them emerging as champions of that zone.
Playing at Bush Lot, Bush Lot Challengers got the better of Rainbow Generation by 4 wickets. Rainbow Generation made 176 in 31 overs with Keno Gravesande 48, Tyson Carmichael 28, Brentnol Woodford 27, Rajbance Hemraj took 3 for 30, Hemchand Budhoo 2 for 20 and Navendra Ramsaroop 2 for 27.
Bush Lot Challengers in response reached 178 for 6 in 24 overs with Rajbance Hemraj 28, Brandon Balkissoon 26 and Keno Gravesande taking 2 for 40.

At Lovely Lass – Achievers defeated Rainbow Generation by 4 wickets. Rainbow Generation 128 in 29 overs; Sherwyn McPherson 3 for 6, Dennis Webster 2 for 18 and Raffel Estriado 2 for 23. Achievers 129 for 6 in 22 overs; Kurd Griffith 43 not out and Tyson Carmichael 2 for 23.
At Cumberland – Celebrity Times whipped Canefield by 5 wickets. Canefield 79 in 18.2 overs; Vishal Mohabir 33, Hemendra Ramdihal 2 for 12 and Arshad Farik 2 for 14. Celebrity Times 83 for 5 is 12.3 overs; David Lukenauth 29, Balram Samaroo 23 not out and Khamesh Kassim 4 for 22.
