The Judo Association of Guyana (JAG) will be sending a two-man team to
Panama to represent Guyana in the under-17 and under-20 divisions of the Caribbean Championships set for March 31.
The Guyanese contingent is scheduled to depart Guyana on March 29 and expected to return on April 2.
Raul Lall will compete in the under-20 division while the pint size Delroy Murphy will participate in the under-17 division.
The Coach of the two-man team is Raoul Archer, while Geoffrey Sankies will travel with the team as a delegate to attend a conference.
When Kaieteur News caught up with the Judokas at their training session on Friday evening at the Kitty Masjid, Coach Archer said he was confident that his charges will give a good account of themselves in Panama. He disclosed that they have been working really hard on all aspects of their preparation.
Both athletes expressed satisfaction with their work leading up to the tournament and promised to do their best in making their country proud.
