Draughts players getting ready for challenging tournament

The nation’s leading draughts players will convene on Sunday March 25 at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue, when the Guyana Draughts Association (GDA) stages a national competition, expected to produce keen rivalry.
Expect tactical performances from the nation’s leading players, the likes of Jairam, Carlton Simon, Mark Braithwaite, Ulric Braithwaite, Khemraj Pooranmall, Wayne Forde and Balleram Ramndeen among others.
The games would be played under the auspices of the ruling body and as such the international format would be employed. The 100 square boards would be used.  Registration begins at 09:00hrs on the day of the tournament and the action gets underway at 09:30hrs sharp.
