– support Saints Hockey Club
In keeping with a promise to support the efforts of the newly formed Saints Hockey Club,
the Hikers Hockey Club juniors’ programme handed over a complete set of uniforms and goalkeeping gear to the men’s team earlier this week.
The donation is a timely boost to the Saints men’s team, who are scheduled to make their debut tomorrow in the John Fernandes Insurance Services Second Division League against All Greys. The youthful Saints team will be strengthened by the inclusion of former national players and old Saints boys Timothy McIntosh, Rene Edwards, Devin Hooper and Robert Fernandes.
The experienced quartet is expected to bolster the Saints defensive line, which will allow play-makers Leroy Jack, Yonnick Peters and Joel Hunte the freedom to torment the All Greys defense.
