– Campbellville and Tucville Secondary on one point each
Excitement in the Scotiabank/Pepsi School Football Tournament is set to continue this Saturday with a double header, at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground, starting at 09:30hrs.
In the opening game, a Group ‘B’ fixture in the girls division, Lodge Secondary and Central High School collide, while in a Group ‘B’ boys encounter, St Stanislaus College and East Ruimveldt battle each other from 11:00hrs.
Group ‘A’ schools boys are as follows: Tucville Secondary (defending champions), Charlestown Secondary, New Campbellville Secondary, Queen’s College and St. George’s, while Group ‘B’ comprises: East Ruimveldt Secondary, North Georgetown Secondary, Central High, St. Stanislaus College, Lodge and Christ Church.
In Group ‘A’ girls the schools are: Tucville Secondary, East Ruimveldt Secondary, Tutorial High and St. Stanislaus College, while Group ‘B’ contains: North Georgetown (defending champions), Campbellville Secondary and Central High.
Meanwhile, last Saturday, new comers, Campbellville Secondary and defending champions Tucville Secondary School played to a 1-1 stalemate, at the GFC ground keaving both teams with one point apiece.
The new comers sent some shock waves through the Tucville camp when Eukini McPherson netted in the 33rd minute, before the defending champs replied in the 68th minute through Ryan Blackman.
Three points are being awarded for a win, while one point is given for a draw.
