-alleged killer spotted in Suriname
Police have issued a wanted bulletin for Lexie Abolia Abigail Richardson, who is the prime suspect in the murder of Letuica Rodrigues, who was stabbed to death at the Stabroek Market in September 2010.
Kaieteur News understands that police have received reports that the 27-year-old Richardson has been spotted in Suriname. A police official said that efforts are being made to have her arrested and deported.
The bulletin gave the suspect’s date of birth as September 10, 1985.
She is of African ancestry and her last known address is Lot 64, Cross Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown.
Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Lexie Abolia Abigail Richardson is being asked to contact the police on telephone numbers: 226-1326, 225-2227, 225-8196, 226-7065, 225-6411, 911 or the nearest police station.
Rodriguez, 31, also called ‘Mama’ and Samantha’, of Lot 80, Breda Street, was stabbed to death by another woman with whom she had an ongoing feud. The incident occurred near the Stabroek Market Square, where the victim had a stall.
Sources said the suspect has a child for Rodrigues’ reputed husband.
Relatives had told Kaieteur News that some of the disputes were being dealt with by the courts.
