Two more matches in this year’s Edward ‘Screw’ Richmond Memorial Schools
Football Competition were completed on Thursday with New Silvercity and C/burg Wismar Secondary playing to a nil-all stalemate, while Linden Technical Institute (LTI) clinically demolished one-time champions Wisburg Secondary.
In the first encounter, New Silvercity and Christianburg / Wismar failed in their bid to secure a positive result, while LTI hammered Wisburg Secondary 7-0.
On target for the winners were Colwin David (2nd), Lawrence Thomas (7th), Colwin David (17th), Andrew Breedy (37th), Michael Wilson (43rd and 69th) and Aubrey Paddy (53rd).
Play continued yesterday and today with tournament debutant Kwakwani Secondary School entering the fray for the first time in this year’s competition.
They were expected to battle Marcia Craig’s Educational Institute yesterday, while their opponents for today will be defending champions Harmony Secondary School.
Today’s game is anticipated to start at11:00 hrs, at the LTI ground.
