Several table tennis players received their respective prizes after successfully
participating in the Mashramani Inter-Class Table Tennis tournament organized by the Queens College Allied Arts Department of Sports in the school’s auditorium Monday morning.
The tournament, sponsored by Commissioner of Police (ag), Leroy Brummell, witnessed entertaining games and in the end the boys from Class 1C finished in the 1st place, while the runners up were those from 1B.
On the distaff side, 1A girls finished 1st while those of 1C were the runners up. 2C boys emulated their 1C counterparts with 2A finishing in the runners up position.
Activities will continue during the week with several other table tennis matches and a chess tournament. There will also be a football match between U-15 and U-19 players today at Woolford Avenue.
This match will be used to assess the standard of the ball weavers currently preparing for the upcoming Scotia Bank/Pepsi School Football Tournament which is slated for later in the month.
