Police at Wakenaam seized a speedboat with engine from Buckhall, Essequibo Coast. The boat is believed to have been used in the theft of a 15 HP Yamaha outboard engine from Wakenaam Point on Sunday last. This newspaper learnt that a farmer had left his boat with engine at his landing and went into his farm. While there, the farmer heard the sound of an outboard engine stop in the vicinity of his landing and later drove away.
A short while later, the farmer went to his boat and discovered the engine missing. Acting on information, the police went to Buckhall where they seized a speedboat with the name “Flykick”.
The 15 horsepower engine was not recovered.
The police are looking for a man whom they believe can assist them with their investigations.
