The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) in its continuing efforts to be properly prepared in order to maintain a high success rate has named two elite junior squads in preparation for upcoming Guyana Cricket Board Inter County tournaments at the Under-15 and 19 levels.
The BCB over the last four weeks had organised four clinics targeting fast bowlers, wicketkeepers, batsmen and spinners apart from coaching sessions around the County which included a one day Academy in West Berbice.
Chairman of the Junior Selection Committee, Leslie Solomon and his support Coaches named the squads which will be preparing on a weekly basis.
BCB Special Events Committee Chairman, Hilbert Foster informed that the lists are not the final one since more players would be added from time to time based on their performances in the upcoming Berbice Under-15 and 19 Inter Club and Inter Zone tournaments.
Foster disclosed that the squads would train each week under coaches Michael Hyles Franco, Winston Smith and Julian Moore. The Elite junior training programme would be launched this Sunday, March 4, at the Area ‘H’ Ground, Rose Hall Town.
Under-15: Shimron Hetmyer, Leon Andrews, Keirre Henry, Deon Esau, Ashkay Homraj, Rishi Persaud, Brandon Persaud, Mahendra Mangal, Balchand Baldeo, Daniel Lewis, Parmanand Ramdhan, Richard Henry, Grisean Grant, Clifton Lindie, Karran Singh, Javid Seecharran, Tyrone Pooranauth, Jason Anderson, Kassim Khan, Gavin Moriah, Joshua Giddings, Enoch Carmichael, Vadanand Sugrim, Naren Ramoo, Joshua Rollins, Joshua Harrichand, Akeem Miller, Emanuel Seecharran, Mohan Deodat and Avishkar Rabindradat.
Under-19: Kandasammy Surujnarine, Veerapen Permaul, Karamchand Ramnarine, Romario De Jonge, Gudakesh Motie Kanhai, Shawn Pereira, Loyydel Lewis, Collis Cort, Jamal Jarvis, Parmanand Narine, Shailendra Shameer, Linden Austin, Kevin Ramdeen, Akram Rahaman, Shimron Hetmyer, AvinashWajid, Trevor Thomas, Boujhnarine Persaud, Quacy Mc Pherson, Bisham Deola, Suresh Dhanai, Sharaz Ramcharran, Arif Chan, Videsh Lall, Naem Yacoob, Videsh Lall, Kevin Pellew, Devin Baldeo, Bryan Nurse, Orlando Tanner, Andel De Jonge, Sherwyn Peterkin, Hakeem Hinds, Nial Smith, Wagar Mc Kenzie, Kris Sulker, Ridwan Ramjohn, Abdool Subhan and Avishkar Seecharran.
