The Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) was expected to commence its pre-season training sessions earlier this week for all its first division, second division and junior players with special sessions for the Under-15 and Under-19 players.
In a press release, the club stated that the special emphasis on the U-15 and U-19 players is “in preparation for their advancement to the inter-county and regional levels”. Coach, Garvin Nedd is expected to conduct the training sessions.
According to the release, the training sessions are a part of a series of activities to celebrate the club’s centennial anniversary. The exercise is aimed at enhancing the fitness, knowledge and the performance of the players on and off the field as DCC seeks to maintain its status as one of the leading cricket clubs in Guyana.
