Dear Editor,
As citizens of Guyana, we are extending heartfelt thanks to the Government of Guyana and the Cuban Government for bringing Dr. Yarima Torres, a qualified Gynecologist/ Consultant, to grace our shores with her generosity, wisdom and professionalism.
Dr. Torres, who was stationed at the West Demerara Regional Hospital (WDRH) for the majority of her period of stay, through knowledge, experience and God-gifted hands, has performed exceedingly well.
She has been reviving our women who were suffering from abdominal defects through careful treatment and surgical procedures.
We will also like to acknowledge the nurses and ward maids (Nurse Bailey, Megan and others), from the Female Surgical and Maternity Wards who were very kind and caring during the period we were hospitalized and who also cooperated with Dr. Yarima, exhibiting the same hospitable characteristics.
Because of our complete satisfaction and deepest gratitude for Dr. Yarima Torres’ outstanding performance, we the women of Region 3, are sincerely asking the Minister of Health, the honorable Dr. Bheri Ramsaran, along with the relevant officials of the Cuban Government to please extend her contractual time for a few more months so that other women suffering with fibroids, ovarian cyst, chronic cervitis, abnormal pregnancies, etc. may have the opportunity to receive reliable and effective care and treatment.
Satisfied patients
