Jamaica replying to Guyana’s 294, took a first innings lead, reaching 388/6 up to press time in their Regional 4-day cricket match in Antigua.
Jamaica were led by Brendan Nash with an unbeaten 165, while support came from David Bernard 63, Carlton Baugh 37, Brenton Parchment 35, Danza Hyatt 21 and Tamar Lambert 20, who got useful starts.
Veerasammy Permaul and Devendra Bishoo had 2 wickets each, while Chris Barnwell had 1.
In the Barbados vs Combined Colleges and Campuses game CCC were struggling at 51/4 with Tino Best picking up 3-21 so far.
The CCC team have been set 331 for a possible victory after being bowled out in their first innings for 145 replying to Barbados’ 237 and the Bajans then put together 238 for 4 declared handing the students a sizeable target.
And in the game between T&T and Windwards – Windwards reached 232/9 at the close.
Darren Sammy hit 88 to steady the innings with Keddy Lesporis 21 and Liam Sebastian 29. Sunil Narine claimed 5 wickets and Imran Khan 3. They were batting a second time replying to T&T’s 364/9 declared. The Windwards were dismissed for 203 in their first innings.
