When the criminal hears of a major sporting event he wants to be there in all his glory, so he tries to effect a series of robberies to raise money for his entertainment. This is increasingly becoming a feature and the authorities are aware.
The sad fact of life is that their numbers are growing, so that the society is now hard pressed to remove them from the streets. This is going to lead to increased frustration on the part of law enforcement agents and the wider society.
Human rights violations would occur, but these would be expected. There will be more police shootings and the communities would exact vigilante justice. The first location where this would occur would be in southern Georgetown—and very, very soon.

Another case of child sex molestation is going to hit the news. A grown man is going to be caught molesting a young girl in a riverain community. Reports had been made previously but the police were slow to act because in their book, such things are common place and they cannot be bothered because of the writing and the court appearances that could prevent them from doing things of real interest to them.
It is only when the suicide occurs that there would be real community action. There would be transfers but the deed would already have been done.

Another river disaster is going to occur in the hinterland. The cause would be ignorance of the location. More disasters of this kind will occur.
