GCB releases itinerary for first half of year

Both the Under-15 and 19 tournaments will have as part of their competitions a Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) President’s XI Development Squad according to a release which was sent to the media via e-mail yesterday.
The release sought to inform all Counties of the schedule of tournaments for the first half of this year, while a remedial camp set for February 27 will be conducted for senior players using the indoor facility at the Chetram Singh Center of Excellence as well as the practice facility at the Guyana National Stadium and the Georgetown Cricket Club.
Members of the current National team will join the players for practice and a two-day match will be staged before the national team leaves for its matches against Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago.
The players identified are Sewnarine Chattergoon, Rajendra.Chandrika, Jonathan Foo, Jason Sinclair, Rajiv Ivan, Elton Baker, Zaheer Mohammed, Gajanand Singh, Herell Green, Steven Jacobs, Anthony Adams, Vishal Singh, Charles Ramson Jr., Ryan Ramdass and Jeetendra Sukdeo.
Meanwhile, the following is the scheduled fixtures for the national two-day Inter-County Competition. (Only for cricketers born on or after 1st September 1996)
Round 1- Mon, 02 April & Tue, 03 April 2012
a) Essequibo vs. Berbice at Anna Regina
b) Demerara vs. President’s XI at Everest
Round 2- Wed 11 & Thur, 12 April 2012
c) President’s XI vs Berbice at Wales
d) Essequibo vs. Demerara at Enmore
Round 3- Sun 15 & Mon 16 April 2012
e) Essequibo vs. President’s XI at DCC
f) Berbice vs. Demerara at GCC
GTM Under-19 Inter-County 50 overs Round Robin Competition
(Only for players born on or after 1st September 1993)
Round 1- Tue, 08 May 2012
a) President’s XI vs. Essequibo at a venue in Demerara
b) Berbice vs. Demerara at a venue in Demerara
Round 2- Thur, 10 May 2012
c) Berbice vs. President’s XI at a venue in Demerara
d) Essequibo vs. Demerara at a venue in Demerara
Round 3- Fri, 11 May 2012
e) President’s XI vs Demerara at a venue in Demerara
f) Berbice vs Essequibo at a venue in Demerara
Final- Fri, 13 May 2012
