A Guyanese has been appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Insurance
Corporation of Barbados Limited.
Ingrid Innes (Ingrid Kassim) previously resided at Duke Street, Kingston.
Chairman of ICBL, John Wight, announced yesterday, “Innes has distinguished herself as a highly effective insurance executive working most recently with ICBL’s majority owner in Bermuda, BF&M Limited, following a successful management consultant practice. Prior to that, Ingrid worked with Manulife Financial, where she held progressively senior executive positions in the US Division. She was born and raised in Guyana and developed her extensive insurance experience and career in Canada.”
The ICBL board extended congratulations to Innes, adding they “have every confidence that she will continue the proud tradition at ICBL of professionalism and successfully lead the company into the future”.
Goulbourne Alleyne, acting CEO prior to Innes’s appointment, has been appointed deputy CEO.
