Competitors and lovers of grass track racing are set for a treat this Sunday when
the NGRC hosts their first meet for the year. The Goed Fortuin Ground, West Bank Demerara is the venue for what is expected to be a fierce day of rivalry with some 40 plus riders already registering.
Competitors have been drawn from all across Guyana, many of whom are seasoned campaigners on the comeback trail.
With a brand new 2012 Yamaha Bike at stake for the grand prize over the 5-Meets this year, competitors motivation levels will be at an all time high and the fans set to enjoy some breath taking contests. The organisers are urging all fans and lovers of motoring racing to be at the Goed Fortuin Ground on Sunday for what will be an unforgettable event.
As it relates to kids having a fun time since this event is being touted as a family affair, there will be a kids corner with a bouncy castle and Ferris wheel apart from a wide range of games.
Race time on Sunday is set for 12:00hrs with admission set at $1,200, children free.
Rain or sun the action will be on. A call for businesses to support is also being made by the organisers. Persons wishing to sponsor races and vending, can call 643-1195.
