The pair of Sudesh Fitzgerald/Anil Lachman defeated the combination of Lallchand Rambahrose/Chris Ramnauth in the final to capture the Guyana Darts Association Draw Doubles and Open Singles 501 games which was held last Friday, at Latino Bar.
In the semi-final Sherwyn Greene/Leonardo Butcher lost to Rambahrose/Ramnauth and Nicholas Seetaram/Rayman Williams to the winners.
The Open Singles saw Fitzgerald playing his doubles partner Anil Lachman in the final which he won 4/2. Nicholas Seetaram lost to Anil Lachman 2/0 in the semi-final and surprise semi-finalist Rayman Williams lost to Fitzgerald after defeating Colin France and Sherwyn Greene.
In addition to the two wins, Fitzgerald also won the fastest game prize with 16 darts edging Nicholas Seetaram who won a game with 17. Anil Lachman won the 180 points prize.
Meanwhile, over at the Malteenoes Sports Club on Saturday, Anil Lachman/Lallchand Rambahrose won their doubles games played last Saturday.
They played unbeaten to amass eight points.
In the Play-off for second place, Norman Madhoo/Colin France and Sudesh Fitzgerald/Sherwyn Greene each amassed four points.
The latter pair won the runners-up position.
In the open 501 singles, Sudesh Fitzgerald won three games to one against Colin France in the final after beating Madhoo two games to one in one semi-final and Colin France disposed of Sherwyn Greene by a similar margin.
In the draw doubles knock-out games at Safari Inn on Sunday, first prize went to Anil Lachman/Lallchand, while Norman Madhoo/ Anup Lachman who is Anil’s son came in second.
