DEAR EDITOR,
With the initiation of the country first forensic laboratory it would be a substantial boost in fighting crime. We have seen the benefits of forensic in other parts of the world and the advantages it has to solve crime.
Most of our country DNA deoxyribonucleic acid is sent overseas for testing, this can be challenging since it has to expedite through different channels. The Guyana Police Force will be a key stakeholder in this project it would mean that they would have to be fully geared to deal with emerging challenges.
Technology play a part in solving crime, computer forensic would be a point to notice to battle crime most modern countries uses this method. I have to commend the ministry of home affairs as well as our honorable minister Clement Rohee to make this project a reality for our country.
