The Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) has extended an invitation to players on the East Coast of Demerara (ECD) to participate in the East Coast Demerara (ECD) Open Table Tennis Tournament, which will be played on Sunday at the Plaisance Community Centre from 10am.
The games will be played in three categories: 18 Years and Under, Senior Open and Masters, and prizes in the form of trophies will be given to the first three finishers in each category; this forms part of the GTTA’s ongoing decentralisation programme.
However, table tennis associates of the GTTA on the East Coast Demerara will be launching a Steering Committee the same day with the GTTA donating a Table Tennis Table. Committees have been formed in New Amsterdam, Linden, Bartica and West Demerara.
