The mother of two year-old Emmanuel Pratt, Tessa Pratt, is pleading with the public for assistance in giving her son a second chance at life.
Before birth, Emmanuel was diagnosed with a swollen right kidney and multiple cysts in his left kidney. He is in need of corrective surgery which can be done in Trinidad.
While the child is not currently experiencing much effects of his condition, his mother is hoping to get the surgery done as early as possible.
According to Pratt, the cost for the surgery alone is some $2.2M and that does not include airfare and accommodation. However, Pratt said herself and other family members will be working towards coming up with the airfare and accommodation money.
In the meantime, Pratt who has been out of a job shortly after her son was conceived said as a mother she has struggled with her child’s health and she will try her best to accumulate the money for her son’s surgery. Already some persons as well as businesses have made pledges to assist Emmanuel.
Meanwhile, for persons who are interested in assisting Emmanuel, they can make contact with the family on telephone numbers 609-1785, 610-2054 or deposits can be made to Republic Bank account, 2897338.
