F&H Supremes demolished its closest rivals M6 (Ministry of Home Affairs)
and Guyana Legion to win the Banks Inter-Organisation Domino title last night at the Banks DIH Sports Club, Thirst Park after surviving some gruelling rounds of intense rivalries in the second annual contest.
F&H had 88 games while M6 had 68 games and Guyana Legion 56 games to finish in that order in the competition that began on Friday with over 30 organisations entering. Host, Banks DIH was fourth while the Ministry of Health rounded off the top five teams.
The champion team pocketed $150,000 for first place while second place took home $100,000; third place got $60,000; fourth place $20,000 and fifth place $10,000. The Most Valuable Player (MVP), Samuel Humphrey will also be rewarded for his efforts.
The official presentation ceremony for the competition is scheduled for Friday at a venue to be announced. Mike Persaud, Bovell Construction Company, Nigel’s Supermarket and Guinness Bar were among the other sponsors of the competition.
