An explosive double header filled with keen and intense rivalry is set to unfold today at the GFC Ground, Bourda, when play in the Thomas United 52nd Anniversary, in collaboration with Winners Connection Mashramani Challenge Cup Knockout Competition, gets underway with the ongoing Georgetown and Linden rivalry.
Kickoff time is 20:00 hrs in the feature match which brings together B.K Int. Western Tigers and Bakewell Top XX. In the curtain raiser from 18:00 hrs Pele come up against Net Rockers, with all four teams going through a phase of rebuilding, placing emphasis on youths ably assisted by a few experienced players of their own.
Football fans and supporters alike can expect an evening of entertaining displays from the four teams, as they all seek to advance to the quarterfinals. However, with only the two winners advancing, city starved football fans can expect two fast placed matches and the teams making the least of mistakes can be assured of their respective places, in the next round.
Over $1,000,000 in cash incentives, along with trophies, medals and individual prizes are at stake. The winner, runner-up, third and fourth place teams will take home $500,000, $300,000, $150,000 and $50,000 respectively, along with the respective trophies.

Meanwhile Mashramani Challenge Cup Knockout action continues tomorrow, Monday, February 6th with 2 double headers at different venues.
