Scotia Bank/Pepsi School Football Academy coaching course concluded yesterday
-Teachers/coaches to relate their wealth of knowledge to students
Under United States-based Coach Stanley Harmon, the teachers/coaches of the Scotia Bank/Pepsi Schools Football Academy can now boast and distribute their wealth of knowledge gathered from the coaching course which was held over the past three days (Monday-Wednesday).
With Wednesday being the final day for the course which educated the teachers/coaches about the game of Football, twelve teachers/coaches will now be able to return to their different respective educational institutes in Guyana to relate to their students on what they have learnt about the excited and most loved sport worldwide.

As the United States-based coach mentioned at the first session on Monday, the teaches/coaches will be rewarded with a certificate to show that they attended that Scotia Bank/Pepsi Schools Football Academy coaching course which indicates that they are certified coaches from the Academy, which is being held for the second time.
During the final day of the coaching course at the Ministry of Education Sports Club, Colin Aaron lectured to participants on the Laws of the Game and assisted Harmon on the indoor practical session before the teachers/coaches received their certificates.
The teachers/coaches aim will be to guide and prepare their students for the upcoming Scotia Bank/Pepsi Schools Football Tournament which is slated for March. Last year’s winner of the Schools’ Tournament was Tucville Secondary School.
The Scotia/Pepsi Schools Football Academy is also part of that programme. The official opening of the Scotia/Pepsi Schools Football Academy will take place next Tuesday February 7th, 2012 at the Ministry of Education Sports Complex at Carifesta Avenue. (Juanita Hooper)
