Kashif & Shanghai Organisation (K&S) and Ram’s Pharmacy came forward in support
of the Mashramani Challenge Cup Football Knockout Tournament which is being organised by Winners Connection in honour of Thomas United FC 52nd Anniversary after making significant contributions yesterday, during a simple ceremony held, at the K&S Head Office on Irving Street.
The tournament which is scheduled to commence on February 5 saw Director of the K&S Organisation Kashif Muhammad and Sales Representative of Ram’s Pharmacy Avinash Oudit, acting on behalf of their respective entities hand over the donations to Linden ‘Ducks’ Bacchus and President of Thomas United FC Oliver Hinckson.
Muhammad presented six (6) footballs and the second place trophy, while Oudit made a monetary donation of an undisclosed sum.
Both Oudit and Muhammad in their remarks expressed similar sentiments stating that their organisations are pleasantly honoured to be a part of the tournament, adding that their contribution towards the development of football and just as
importantly to the second oldest football club in Guyana is what really prompted them to support the venture.
They noted that the tournament will see sixteen clubs participating in what is anticipated to be entertaining encounters and keen rivalry which will also showcase the skills and talent of some of the emerging stars in the game.
