Another massive countrywide Dominoes Competition organized by Mark ‘Jumbie’ Wiltshire and Orin Joseph is scheduled to begin today, at Joseph’s residence, Gaulding Place, South Ruimveldt Park.
According to a press release the competition will be played on a two in one out format and carries a first prize of $150,000 and a trophy, while the runner-up team is set to receive $75,000 and third place $40,000.
Each team desirous of participating will have to pay an entry fee of $10,000 with the finals set for January 5-6 at the same venue.
Teams from the East Coast and West Coast of Demerara, East and West Bank Demerara are all invited and they could make contact on telephone numbers 674-1275, 621-5515 or 629-4185 to register. The tournament will also be played at Striker’s Sports Club and Dynasty Sports Bar.
