Top Cop rape allegations…..
The Jamaican Investigators who were brought in to investigate rape allegations against embattled Police Commissioner Henry Greene have completed their work and the resulting file is expected to be sent off early this week to the Director of Public Prosecutions, for legal advice.
This disclosure was made by Acting Police Commissioner Leroy Brummell yesterday.
According to Brummell, other “tidying up” is needed before the file is handed over to the DPP.
President Donald Ramotar on Friday, during a press briefing, disclosed that he has not yet received any report from the Jamaican Police Force investigators regarding the rape allegations leveled against the Top Cop.
A 34 year old woman is accusing the commissioner of police of luring her into a city hotel and raping her.
Greene had sought permission to proceed on administrative leave in order to facilitate a proper investigation.
Since their arrival, the team met with the victim, the top cop, and visited the hotel.
President Ramotar did not give a definite answer when asked whether Greene will return as Commissioner of Police should be he be exonerated and also given that he has passed the age of retirement.
“Let’s cross our bridges when we come to that” President Ramotar told the media on Friday.
