The body of renowned Pulmonologist, Dr Moti Lall, is set for cremation at 13:00 hours on Sunday at Ruimzeight,
West Coast Demerara, following an 11:00 hours service at his 460 Hopkinson Street, Republic Park, Phase Two, East Bank Demerara home.
Dr Moti Lall diligently served the Health Sector for about four decades, a profession which saw him becoming renowned for his priceless contributions to the treatment and diagnosis of pulmonary diseases. He also became especially popular for his work in the area of addressing tuberculosis, which he had considered a major threat to public health.
Over the years, he remained one of the few health professionals that worked assiduously towards the reduction of TB locally.
He was also the recipient of a national award (Medal of Service) and was a former Parliamentarian.
Aside from his many patients, close friends and comrades, Dr. Moti Lall leaves to mourn his wife Chitrakha Lall, son Moti Pravindra Lall, daughters Renuka Mahadeo and Aruna Ishmani Lall and granddaughter, three-year-old, Bhena Lall.
