Customers win over $2M in gifts from pawn shop
Elegant Jewelry and Pawn Shop yesterday held its fifth annual promotion and 
10 lucky persons benefitted from gifts worth $2M.
The drawing was held at the company’s head office in Durban Street, Georgetown. The presentation will be held on Monday, 16.
The winners were June Ann Layne, Oshani Waithe, Sinteliena Graves, Shekel Benn, Warren Welch, Elsa Stewart, Nita Daniels, Lilowattie Manbodh, V. Antony and Tamara Tappin.
The winners will take away toasters, bicycle, flat screen TV, blender, cake mixer, gas stove, coffee maker, microwave, and a fridge.
According to the proprietor, the promotion started in November. He explained that persons gained entry by spending at least $2,000.
He stated that in December everyone is busy and excited preparing for the holiday season, so the business planned to start the excitement back in January.
The promotion is a way of giving back to the public.
