– court not in receipt of case docket
The commencement of the murder preliminary inquiry of John Blanchard, the father fingered in the death of his three young children, has been postponed until January 11. The matter which came before Magistrate Lesley Sobers at the Providence Magistrate’s Court, had to be adjourned since the prosecution was not in receipt of the case file.
On Tuesday last, Blanchard was transferred to the out of town court by the Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine- Beharry. But when the matter was called again on Friday last at Providence, it had to be adjourned since the police were unable to present statements without the case file.
The police are expected to present these statements on the next occasion and hopefully the PI could get on the way.
Blanchard was arrested late last year for allegedly hacking his three young children to death.
