Having being appointed Minister within the Ministry of Finance, Bishop Juan Edghill,
who recently resigned from the post of Chairman of the Ethic Relations Commission, has also tendered his resignation as Chairman of the Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC). At a simple ceremony Thursday, the Board of Directors along with management officials and other staff members bade farewell to Edghill, even as they offered a number of glowing tributes.
Edghill, who served as Chairman from 2003 through 2011, in a brief presentation highlighted some of the milestones achieved and the hurdles that had to be scaled over the past years. He also encouraged management officials to continue to build on the foundation that had been industriously laid in key areas including finance and security. His final admonition was for managers that they strive to be fair and objective in their interactions with members of the Corporation and the public.
