Almost six days after the police shot Mohan Manniram, the man is out of hospital and is being held on a warrant.
The fisherman was shot on December 22 after he was engaged in a heated confrontation with the police at his Hampton Court residence.
Reports revealed that Mohan Manniram called Punta, a day earlier, was reportedly involved in a verbal confrontation with his neighbours.
Police officers responding to the scene were reportedly doused with gasoline. The police reacted by shooting Manniram in his hand and leg.
The injured man was subsequently admitted as a patient to the Suddie Public Hospital, Essequibo.
The fisherman was charged with the possession of illegal fuel earlier this year.
