An Eccles family is pleading for the safe return of a 13-year-old who walked out of the house more than a week ago and has not been heard from since.
According to reports, Akisha Williams left her parents’ Eccles, East Bank Demerara home on December 20, last, and never returned home. A close relative told this publication that the girl wanted to go to the GT&T Jingle competition and because she was not permitted to go she stormed out of the house.
This publication was told that the teen was last seen wearing a pair of black jeans and a white top. There are reports that she was spotted in Linden and in downtown Georgetown. However she has not contacted her family.
The matter has since been reported to the police and anyone knowing the whereabouts of the teenager is asked to contact the nearest police station or her parents on telephone numbers, 233-2136 or 661-2508.
