Staff of Guyana and Trinidad Mutual Life Insurance Group of Companies (GTM) took the initiative to make Christmas happen for the little ones at the Red Cross Children’s Convalescent Home located at D’Urban Backlands, by donating gifts and party bags.
The donation was done under the theme “putting a smile on the face of a child”, and received tremendous response from the staff, who, in addition decided to donate toiletries and sanitary products, such as pampers, cleaning liquids and a haircutting machine among other child care products.
Administrator of the Guyana Red Cross Society, Edwin Enmore, told Kaieteur News that they are extremely grateful to the donors as their generosity will play a huge role in making Christmas better for the children at the home.
He also took the opportunity to urge persons to come forward and donate whatever they can, especially during this time of year.
