Five contracts were given “no objection” at Cabinet’s December, 20 statutory meeting.
Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon, at a post-Cabinet media briefing on Thursday, said that the contracts are in the areas of education, health, water and sports.
The contracts that were approved are as follows:

(HEALH) Execution of site preparation work for the Specialty Hospital at Turkeyen. | $97M |
(WATER) Installation of roads, drains and structures at Foulis, East Coast Demerara. | $28.1M |
(WATER) Installation of transmission mains at Herstelling, East Bank Demerara. | $32.5M |
(SPORTS) Construction of track and field facilities, boundary fence and ticket booth at the Synthetic Track, Leonora, West Coast Demerara. | $65.8M |
