With the increase incidences of bullying in schools, the Trinidad and Tobago Karate Federation (TTKF) has set up a special committee to address this dreaded crime among school children.
The committee is made up of Kyoshi Oluyemi Mashama, Shihan Michael Cromwell, Shihan Roderick Titus and Sensei Barry Winter. They all have wide experience with kids and have their own successful martial arts clubs.
They will be looking at ways to help kids who are subjected to bullying. It will include but not limited to communication, self-defence, increasing self confidence, working with those in authority etc. TTKF is calling all self-defense instructors and any group or individual whether they are part of TTKF or not, to attend a meeting on January 8th 2012 at TTKF National training Center- #12 Fourth Street, Mt. Lambert at 1:00pm. For more information on to www.ttkf.org or send email to Maureen Springer at [email protected]
