NBS Second Division… RHT Bakewell advance to playoffs with walkover from Port Mourant

The Rose Hall Town Bakewell Second Division under the guidance of veteran all-rounder Ravi Narine, has reached the playoff stage of the New Building Society (NBS) Second Division Tournament with a walkover against Port Mourant.
The entire RHT Bakewell team arrived at the PMCC Ground at 10:00hrs and left until 12 noon; Port Mourant being a no show.
Play was scheduled to start at 11:00hrs but the pitch was unprepared and not one of the PMCC team members was present.
Both RHT Bakewell and Port Mourant had played unbeaten in this zone and were to meet on Sunday to determine which team advance to the playoffs. RHT Bakewell had defeated Tain Block 4, Port Mourant ‘B’, Nigg Intruders and Belvedere United.
They now await the completion of the other zones to find out who they next play. The team has won the Berbice Second Division title on four occasions over the years it has been played.
