The New York chapter of the East Ruimveldt Secondary School Alumni on Monday rewarded several of the top performers of the institution.
Making the presentation on behalf of the alumni was Kervin Brumell, an old student.
The top students receiving haversacks filled with school supplies were Jeremiah Tappin, Tiffany Persaud, Tiffany Tucker and Jason Klass, who all performed creditably well at the external examinations.
Two less-fortunate children were also the beneficiaries. Brumell noted that the presentation will become a regular feature.
Also at the presentation was Head Mistress of the school, Maureen Samuels.
