The National Milling Company (Guyana) Limited is calling on consumers to resist paying
more for flour during this Christmas season.
“There has been no increase in flour prices from the mill and there will be none for Christmas and consumers must resist paying any increases,” said NAMILCO’s Managing Director, Bert Sukhai, yesterday.

Kaieteur News understands that food items like milk powder have all risen.
In March, following shortages of wheat on the world market, NAMILCO raised flour prices by 10 per cent.
