Colin Jones appeared in court yesterday to answer the charge of murder committed against Kurt Thierens and Adriano Tracey, 30, of William Street, Campbellville. Colin Jones will return to court on January 26, 2012. Along with him, yesterday, was Clayton Westford, who appeared to answer the charge of arson.
The men appeared before Magistrate Fazil Azeez and were assigned a date for the continuation of their trial. Jones allegedly killed and buried in a shallow grave, his accomplices in the gang’s alleged criminal activities of 2009, Thierens and Tracey.
In November 2010, Jones, a self confessed killer allegedly took police ranks to graves at Kara Kara Creek where they recovered two decomposing bodies said to be the remains of his partners of the gang.
Jones faces an array of charges. The man was said to have been in a spree of criminal activities. He had even escaped from police custody.
Westford was arrested in July 2009 for allegedly setting fire to the Ministry of Health building.
Jones is charged with arson, attempted murder, murder, kidnapping, gun possession and ammunition possession.
