Orlando Williams, 25, of Lot 9 Exora Eccles, East Bank Demerara, succumbed at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation just hours after he was involved in an accident around 21:00 hours on the Agricola Public Road last Thursday night.
Reports stated that the Guyana Geology and Mines Incorporated employee was making his way along the western carriageway at Agricola on his motorcycle, CF 8907, when he allegedly came into contact with the rear wheel of a bicycle which was being pushed across the road way by one Eon Boyce. Williams crashed.
Both Boyce and Deward were taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where Boyce was treated for his minor injuries and sent away while Deward was admitted.
Williams’s sister, Yonette D’Andrade, told Kaieteur News that the young man lived alone.
Deward, who was described as an excellent brother leaves to mourn eight sisters and three brothers.
Orlando Williams’s body will be handed over to his family for burial as soon as a post mortem is conducted.
