Nine teams will battle for top honours when the South Turkeyne Sports Committee hosts a domino competition at the Guyana Legion Hall, Carifesta Avenue on Friday December 24 next.
Among those in contention will be Guyana Prison Service, Under the Tree, Guyana’s Legion, Guyoil, Edward B. Beharry, Black Stallion Warriors, Sophia Massive, Rest Team and U6 among others.
The teams will battle for trophies donated by several politicians and members of the business community including Minister of Sports Dr. Frank Anthony, Attorney-at-Law Basil Williams, Melbourne Inn (Guyana) Ltd, The Trophy Stall of Bourda Market, OTR and Akin.
Each team is required to contribute a $10,000 entrance fee to the organiser, Johnny ‘Overseas’ Barnwell, before the tournament gets underway.
