Police Commission Henry Greene yesterday came under fire again, after he allegedly
sent ranks to dismantle a house on the government reserve at the entrance of the Joint Service Scheme, South Ruimveldt.
It was around 10:00hrs when ranks started to “rip apart” a small wooden structure on the reserve.
Deon Seymour yesterday told Kaieteur News that he was at his reputed wife’s home when a friend came and told him what was happening.
According to Seymour he saw the officers breaking his home and enquired why they were doing it.
He said that he was never given any notice about removing from the place. Seymour said that he has been living at that same location since 1997.
He told Kaieteur News that he had applied for a house lot but was not fortunate to get any.
Efforts to contact the commissioner yesterday proved futile.
