… to answer 12 robbery under arms charges
Kellon Mc Leod, a 21-year-old of Victory Valley, Wismar, Linden was yesterday remanded to jail. He had earlier pleaded guilty to a charge of gun and ammunition possession and was jailed for four years. His second appearance was to answer 12 charges of robbery under arms
He had appeared before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell accused of having in his possession one .32 pistol without being the holder of a licence. Mc Leod was also charged for having 11 live matching rounds of ammunition for the said gun. He was given four years for each charge which will run concurrently.
The court heard that on November 30 at Linden, the man was found with the illegal articles where he was arrested and charged for the offence. The defendant wasted no time and immediately pleading guilty to the two charges.
Today, Mc Leod will answer 12 charges of robbery under arms. He will appear at the Christiansburg Magistrate’s Court.
