After crediting food worth $10,000 and asked to close the bill, Wayne Williams a 48-year-old security guard of Lot 81 Main Road Cummings Lodge reportedly punched the cook in the face.
The man appeared before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell charged with the offence of causing grievous bodily harm while the cook, 38-year-old Sharon Henry of Lot 772 Fifth Field Cummings Lodge was charged for assaulting Williams.
The two reportedly had a fight when Henry asked Williams to pay a food bill he had pending at her stall. The prosecution stated that the two persons are known to each other. Williams is a customer who eats at a food stall that Henry runs.
On the day of the incident, Williams went to Henry to get food when he was told that the food had finished. The woman subsequently asked Henry to clear a bill that he had for food already eaten`.
After it was revealed to him that he had eaten food valued at $10,000 Williams allegedly denied the sum. An argument ensued and Williams reportedly dealt the complainant one cuff to her face.
The court heard that Henry held on to the man’s shirt and at that very time a police patrol was passing and arrested both parties.
A medical was obtained for the cook and they were both charged with their respective offences.
The duo is to return to court on January 23. Henry was placed on $20,000 bail while Williams is to post bail in the sum of $60,000.
