Following the recent General and Regional Elections on November 28th, Guyana’s seventh Executive President, Donald Ramotar, yesterday announced a 20-Minister Cabinet with five new faces over the previous one.
There were several exchanging of portfolios with the most significant one being former Minister of Health, Dr. Leslie Ramsammy, who has now taken over as the new Minister of Agriculture while former Agri Minister, Robert Persaud, is to head the new Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. It is sad that Dr Ramsammy is leaving the Health Ministry, he was todate the best minister of health and also the best minister the PPP/C has ever seen. The ministry of Health is in for some trying times, since Dr Ramsarran communication skills are wanting…..there will be greater exodus of professionals from that sector since they will not be able to stand the cuss out.
I too think he was doing a good job in Health…they made a sad mistake to move him!

The ministry that Robert is occupying was originally conceptualized for ex prezzie;Robert is the placeholder because of the disappointing elections results.
Opposition do not agree to any vote of no confidence until you have wrested some constitutional changes and operationalize the way business is done.

This is a man who says he will clean up the corruption yet he retains Clement the Criminal Rohee as Home Affairs Minister in charge of the Police.
Rohee’s personal track record is dismal minus at best. His appointment as the Minister of Home Affairs is downright insulting to the Police Force and all of Guyana.. head of the Police force taking instructions from a criminal is unheard of anywhere in the world.
Herman Cain had to suspend his Presidential ambitions based on accusations – in Rohee’s case theres fact yet he retains his position.
I see Rohee’s re-appointment as a direct pat on the back from Ramotart who is being controlled by the Rodent (the Rat had to have a hand in that re-appointment)
Expect more misguided decisions from the President in times to come – his first set of decisions leaves much to be desired.
I love, love, love your blog it is 1000% true. Let us relax and see how this ball is going to roll, we are living abroad and is in a better position in life but our releatives at home os not as fortunate as us so let us keep praying for the best.

Why was ROB-ert and Irfaan kept in the government? ROB-ert now has a Ministry where he can acquire a tremendous amount of wealth without being questioned. Anything that comes from the earth (gold, silver, bauxite, oil, damonds, etc) is now controlled by him. WHY?
I was under the impression that the new Pressie would be cleaning house. Instead, he is shuffling house. Seems like he being controlled like a puppet by The RAT.
Isn’t the RAT and ROB-ert relatives ?? If this is true, that would explain the inclusion of ROB-ert in the government.
Hopefully with the new Cabinet, alongside with a good Opposition we will see progress!!!!!!!!!
What I do not understand is why the asian Guyanese people who work at the Ministry of housing do not black people from overseas e.g.( British, Europeans, Americans, Canadians) to buy land in Guyana. Can an asian Guyanese step forward and in their own words tell us all what this is call about?
