Following Thursday’s impressive performances at the Ronald Wilson memorial Boxing Tournament in Barbados, Guyanese boxers continued their impressive showing on Friday evening.
Richard Williamson, Laured Stewart and Ron Smith easily won their bouts on Thursday, while Friday junior female fighter Renitna David won her bout after she pounded Jamel Billingy of Trinidad into submission forcing the Referee to stop the contest in the first round.
Delon Charles won against Raenal Walters of St Maarten also in similar fashion as the official stopped the fight in the first round. The only blotch was the loss of Richard Williamson who lost to Ricardo Blackman on points. Smith continued the Guyanese winning streak, beating Kavel Nurse after the referee stopped the contest in the first round.
