An 82-year-old Albouystown man who was struck down by a motor-cyclist last evening at
La Penitence is in a serious condition with at least one broken leg.
An ambulance had to take Charles McPherson and the unnamed motorcyclist who fell hard from his bike after the accident, to the Georgetown Hospital. He too is suspected to have sustained a broken leg.
Eyewitnesses related that the elderly man was crossing the road in front of the La Penitence Market when the bike heading north (towards the city) crashed into him. The rider was in too much in pain to recall what happened.
