Dear Editor,
The accident that occurred on Aubrey Barker Street is no longer headline news but relatives and friends of Patrice Mitch Welcome gathered at his friend’s home which was his workshop every night to mourn his passing.
A cross was erected to mark the spot where he died. Last week hundreds of his relatives and friends held a candle light vigil there then marched to the wake house.
His picture which was held aloft through the march was placed at the gate with the still lighted candles surrounding it. It was a highly charged emotional scene but the persons who cause the pain and suffering were not there to see or feel it.
I would like to have a measure put in place where new as well as old licence holders are shown either through video or pictures the result of reckless driving.
The AIDS campaign spread its message through graphic pictures and so can the traffic department.
A concern citizen
